Since 1 April 2009 I started a new phase in my life. I acquired the incoming travel agency JUNGFRAU TOURS in Interlaken, Switzerland. This company is specialised in Tours in Switzerland by train such as the worldfamous panorama trains, Golden Pass or Glacier Express. Visit the website at www.jungfrautours.ch to get an impression.


In October 2007, 3 Friends and I successfully climbed Mt. Thinchingkhan 6010m in the Sikkimese Himalayas. The mountain is located just south of Mt. Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world. 

Our route followed the western glacier, a steep rocky ridge and finally 2 steep (60°) icewalls. The top was reached by  2 of my friends and 3 Sherpas. Especially the sherpas were of utmost importance for our success but not only them, in fact the whole team (porters, cooks etc.)  were responsible for our success and he had a great time.

In December  2006 I have launched a new homepage http://www.swissmountaintours.com 
On this homepage I will gradually build more information about my new enterprise. Starting early summer 2008, I will guide tourists around in the Bernese Oberland. If you happen to know people who might be interested in a fully guided tour, hiking, sight seeing or a cultural tour, I would very much appreciate a reference.
